This is a screenshot of the SmartBoard activity I use to take lunch count and attendance for April. When students arrive they move their train car to indicate what they are having for lunch. I know who is absent at a glance by noting who has not moved their car. This is one less thing I have to do in the morning. It gives me more time to talk to the kids when they arrive and I can get a feel for what kind of day they will have. 
I love this! I also do my attendance/lunch count on the smartboard, but I just have their names and the lunch choices with pictures of each choice. Yours is soooo much cuter!
